Yeah, I finally finished some more Alien Boy art. Here's the deal - I wrapped up this story, and it'll be finishing up over the next couple of weeks at the WCN site. In case you missed the first four installments, they're up over there already. For some reason, this story has been utter torture to finish. I've been working pretty hard over the last week plus to get it done, but it's taken way longer than it probably should have. But the good news here is that I got my portfolio up for the CBR Idol competition. I wish I'd gotten it done earlier (just so that I could get some feedback on the work), but getting done and entering is better than nothing. Now my fingers are crossed that someone's looking for a good, old-fashioned cartoonist...

I did hit the Stumptown Comics Fest today, and there's still Sunday's festivities to go. I won't be there, but it was a lot of fun. You've got to love a show where you can walk right up to Matt Wagner or Mike Allred and talk to them for a little while without a line of people silently urging you to get the hell out of their way. It's always nice to catch up with some folks at these shows without having to worry about getting back to the table right away. I'll be back to the grind at the November Coliseum show, but today was good. In the next couple of days I'll go over a couple of things that I picked up at the show, but for now I think it's time to throw on some puro and drift off to sleep...
